In Latin America a Kermes is a community fair or bazaar that is typically held by school or church communities to raise money.  As you probably know, the LEAP preschool, known by our families as Nuestra Escuelita, is the only accessible, culturally affirming bilingual preschool in Durham.

 

This year, we will hold our third Kermes to celebrate as a community with food, games, music and dancing to raise money for our school. Stay tuned for my information to come!
