Daniela Salazar-Santos (she/her) is a recent Duke graduate passionate about education and advancing education equity for all. She holds a BA in Psychology, minor in Education, and a Child Policy Research Certificate from Duke University. Daniela has recently obtained her North Carolina teaching licensure and has volunteer and work experience in various schools throughout Durham Public Schools. As a daughter of immigrant parents from El Salvador, Daniela holds this identity close which motives her passions of supporting Latinx youth. Her involvement in LEAP has spanned from volunteering, summer camp teaching, to holding a position as tutoring coordinator. Originally from Los Angeles, LEAP has given her a home away from home through an inclusive environment that provides a space of affirming identity, community, and comfort in North Carolina.
