Our results
Decades of research have proven that children who attend high-quality preschool are MORE: prepared for Kindergarten, likely to earn a living wage, likely to postpone parenthood, likely to avoid court involvement, and be healthier into adulthood (based on studies that control for other factors). Our impact at Nuestra Escuelita mirrors these positive outcomes. We use an evaluation instrument that enables us to compare the progress of our students to their peers across the country, including young children who are not bilingual or considered low-income.
PreK Outcomes 2023
Nuestra Escuelita uses “Teaching Strategies”, a nationally normed evaluation tool, to measure our students’ social, physical, and academic growth. The graph below shows the average student progress for 2022- 2023, comparing beginning of year and end of year measures of skills. Students grew in every category. 90% of our students completed the year ready for kindergarten on every metric.
